Elder Doula Services

Elder doulas are also non-medical professionals who are specifically trained to provide holistic physical, emotional, and spiritual care for the elderly

Over 80% of people prefer to stay in their own homes as they age, do they have access to resources to maintain independence?

Due to the reality of the modern family structure, and our increasingly challenged medical system, we need additional options to support and care for our aging population–and additional ways to honor them within our community!  I am not a home health aide.

However, I can provide assistance as an Elder Doula.

Ways I can provide support:

-Giving caregivers a break when need (1-2 times a week at minimum two hours)

This will/can include:

-Cooking

-Running Errands

-Providing Companionship

-Community Outings

-Transportation to Doctors appointments

An Elder Care Doula can coach families and aging seniors by simply being a trusted companion through the aging process, as well as by providing ongoing support to both the aging client and their families at the time throughout the end-of-life process.

Aging is a challenge, and can be mentally and emotionally difficult at times, but living well into an age is an integral part of a longer life and should be an honor. Having people to count on and care about you or your loved ones brings not only a greater quality of life to a patient or client, but also incredible peace of mind to those who love them.
